Nearly two hundred people turned up on a glorious summer afternoon to enjoy cool jazz from the Alec James Quartet, as well as a barbecue, drinks, cakes and other stalls laid on by local people to raise funds for the chapel at Gussage St Andrew. Everything was perfect. The quartet’s CDs sold well and the afternoon raised £1,700 profit.
A damp finish didn't spoil a great event that was enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.
